Expectations of Parents
- Parents will officiate at 4 meets including the Jaguar Invitational OR secure a sponsor for a meet ($225.00) Some parents have officiated as well as sponsored a meet. Ask if you need help meeting your obligation. Officials training is scheduled; (see calendar), we ask that you please attend even if you have officiated in the past.
- Parents are encouraged to be at practice, especially if you have young athletes or are new to the club. o Parents might also choose to walk during practice on the walkway outside of the fenced area.
- Absolutely NO pets, for health and safety reasons, and at the request of SKHS.
- Parents are encouraged to become educated in track and field officiating by attending certification clinics available through USATF. Ask for details.
Expectations of Athletes
- Follow the Code of Conduct.
- Be safe Be on time; if late, come orderly, check in with your age division coach and begin warm-ups.
- If there is a need to leave early, check out with your age division coach. (safety reasons)
- Do your best Dress appropriately: shoes, sweats, (layered, can always take a layer off if too hot), hats and gloves when needed.
- Wear Jaguar t-shirt at meets and black shorts.
- Bring water o Pick up after yourself
- Restrooms – use before you leave home, or have parents take you to facility prior to practice. o Athletes should not be in the school/locker rooms by themselves.
